Why AvioVenture Exists
Hi, I'm Leon.
I love discovering new places to fly. Tailwheel flying, mountain strips, bush flying, if it involves learning something new or ending the day around an airplane with good people, I'm interested.
But I kept running into the same problem. Some of the most interesting operators I found weren't easy to find at all. Their websites were outdated, hidden somewhere on page five of Google, or only known through word of mouth.
Unless you already knew exactly what to search for, you would probably never come across them. And that felt like a shame. Because aviation is full of people doing incredible things, teaching mountain flying in the Alps, operating from grass strips in Romania, introducing pilots to tailwheel flying, or simply sharing their local knowledge with anyone curious enough to visit.
So I started AvioVenture. Not as a directory with hundreds of names and no real stories behind them. I wanted to create the kind of resource I wished I had myself.

That's why we don't just list operators.
Before publishing a profile, I sit down with the people behind it.
We talk about the aircraft they fly, the places they love, the training they recommend, and the experiences they think every pilot should try at least once.
Often, those conversations are the best part. They reveal the little details you won't find on a website. The favourite aircraft in the hangar. The mountain strip everyone remembers. The advice they give to first-time visitors.
AvioVenture is simply my attempt to make these places a little easier to discover. Because some of the best flying experiences out there are still invisible.
